By Our Correspondent: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said around 1.1 million Afghan refugees, along with other foreign nationals, have been repatriated from Balochistan to their respective countries.
Speaking about the repatriation of foreign nationals, Bugti said the provincial government had facilitated the return of a large number of Afghan refugees as part of efforts related to the repatriation process.
Bugti Comments on Missing Persons
Addressing the issue of missing persons in Balochistan, the chief minister said the matter had at times been presented without its complete context, resulting in what he described as an incomplete picture of the situation.
He said the issue needed to be viewed in its broader context and with consideration of all relevant circumstances.
Former Afghan Security Personnel in Balochistan
Bugti also said former Afghan security personnel had previously been present in Balochistan, but their presence had now significantly declined.
He made the remarks while discussing the province’s security situation, foreign nationals and other issues linked to law and order in Balochistan.
