The Balochistan health department on Sunday confirmed 46 new cases of the novel coronavirus. With the confirmation of fresh cases, the number of cases reached 1,218 in the province.

44 patients were from Quetta and 2 were from Pishin, Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan said in a statement obtained by daily Quetta Voice. So far, over 10,000 tests have been conducted in Balochistan since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

However, 197 patients have recovered from the virus until now. The virus has caused 21 deaths in the province. The number of suspected patients have been recorded over 15,000 across the province.

The number of tests that came negative is recorded over 9,000 by the Corona Cell directorate of health department Balochistan.
