QUETTA: The health department Balochistan has confirmed 151 cases of the novel coronavirus on Friday. With the confirmation of new cases, the total number of cases has reached 1,873 in Balochistan.

As per the daily situation report shared by the Corona Cell Balochistan and obtained by the daily Quetta Voice, the cases continue to rise in Quetta, Pishin, Jaffarabad, Killa Abdullah, and other districts of the province fast. The health department has so far conducted over 13,700 tests since the outbreak of the pandemic in Balochistan.

Up till now, 222 patients have recovered from the deadly virus in Balochistan, the Corona Cell Spokesman Waseem Baig said. He said most people have recovered from the virus at their homes after completing the quarantine period.

The government of Balochistan has decided to impose what it says smart lockdown in order to enable the people to do Eid shopping and fulfill their jobs. However, cases continue to rise and appear to be rampant in Balochistan despite the earlier lockdown order by the Balochistan government.
