QUETTA: The Corona Cell government of Balochistan on Tuesday confirmed 97 new cases. With the confirmation of new cases, the tally has reached 2,158 in the province. A total of 428 tests were conducted by the laboratory located at Fatima Jinnah Chest and TB Hospital and out of them 97 were declared positive, the Corona Cell mentioned in a daily situation report released to the media.

The deadly virus has caused 27 deaths in Balochistan since the outbreak of the Covid-19. The health department has so far conducted more than 15,000 tests. Most of the cases have been reported from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province. However, Pishin, Killa Abdullah, Jaffarabad have also been hit hard by the virus.

Up till now, 18 districts have been affected the coronavirus that continues to spread fast, Waseem Baig, the Spokesman Corona Cell Balochistan tells the daily Quetta Voice.

The number of patients recovered in Balochistan has also passed 300 as more people continue to battle the virus at isolation at their homes.
