Former Governor Balochistan, Syed Muhammad Fazal Agha died of protracted illness in a private hospital in Karachi on Wednesday evening. Former Governor and current member Balochistan Assembly, Syed Fazal Agha was tested for the novel coronavirus a few days back, sources close to him the daily Quetta Voice.
The late governor’s condition deteriorated and was admitted to a private hospital in Karachi for medical treatment. He breathed his last on Wednesday evening, one of the family members told the daily Quetta Voice via telephone.
Syed Fazal Agha was elected as MPA from Balochistan’s district Pishin on the ticket of JUI (F). He was appointed as Governor Balochistan during 1998 by the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He has also served as deputy chairman senate of Pakistan during the late 1980s.
Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan in a condolence statement expressed grief and sorrows over the sad demise of Syed Muhammad Fazal Agha and prayed that may Allah bless on the departed soul.
Former Chief Minister, Nawab Muhammad Aslam Khan Raisani, Senator Mir Tahir Bizenjo, opposition leader Malik Sikandar Khan Advocate, home minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove, finance minister, Mir Zahoor Buledi, former home minister, Agha Omar Bangulzai, PPP central leader Mir Sadiq Umrani, Mir Noor Ahmed Bangulzai and people belonging to various walks of life expressed deep sorrows and grief over the demise of Syed Muhammad Fazal Agha. They prayed that may Almighty Allah rest the departed soul in peace.
