Eid ul Fitr prayers were offered in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan amid tight security. A large number of people turned out to offer Eid prayers in Quetta city. In the main city, social distancing was adopted and people were wearing masks during Eid ul Fitr prayers. However, people violated the concept of social distancing in the suburbs of the city.

Crowds of people standing shoulder to shoulder were seen in the outskirts of Quetta city, ignoring the government’s appeal for adopting social distances.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan offered Eid prayer at the chief minister’s secretariat. Social distancing was adopted during the Eid prayer at CM secretariat. Former information technology minister Balochistan, Prince Ahmed Ali, and other officials also offered Eid prayer at the CM secretariat along with Jam Kamal Khan.

Security was tightened during Eid ul Fitr prayer in Quetta city to avoid the occurrence of any untoward incident. Policemen were seen guarding the Eid congregations on Sunday morning.

The government of Balochistan has made an appeal to the people to observe Eid with simplicity and adopt social distancing to contain the deadly virus. The Corona Virus has spread to 23 districts of Balochistan and infected more than 3,000 people across the province.
