The Balochistan government extended the smart lockdown for another 15 days to contain the novel coronavirus and facilitate the masses. Shops, markets, malls and other public places to remain open for six days in a week from 9 am to 7 pm every day, said in a notification issued by the Balochistan home department.

All shops, shopping centers, and markets would remain closed on Friday. However, there would be complete ban on all types of political, social, and religious gatherings in the province.

Medical stores and shops other necessary items would operate for 24 hours since no ban has been imposed on them to facilitate the masses, the notification said.

All educational institutions would remain closed until the 15th of July.
