Governor Balochistan, Justice (R) Amanullah Khan Yaseenzai has directed all vice-chancellors to submit a comprehensive report about online classes in the province. The governor chaired a meeting of all vice-chancellors of universities in the province and thoroughly discussed ways and means to improve online classes for students.
The Governor directed the vice-chancellors to cover all aspects of the online classes and submit a comprehensive report in this regard. Justice (R) Amanullah Yaseenzaid stated that the government had made the decision to launch online classes in educational institutions to save the precious time of students in the aftermath of the outbreak of COVID19.
The novel coronavirus has severely affected the education sector and caused the closure of educational institutions across the globe, he stated. The federal government had decided to keep all educational institutions closed till July 15th in view of the outbreak of novel coronavirus in the country.
However, students in Balochistan have objected over the online classes and argued that internet facility was not available in all remote areas of the province. The Balochistan Students Organization (BSO) has challenged the online classes in the Balochistan High Court.
