Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has taken notice of the allotment of 5,000 hectares of land to three influential individuals in district Lasbella. The Chief Minister has directed the Balochistan revenue department to seek details from the settlement staff in the district.
According to an official handout issued here on Thursday evening, settlement staff secretly prepared allotment documents of 5,000 land to three individuals in Sonmiani district Lasbella. Neither the three individuals belong to the same area nor district Lasbella, the statement said.
The family head of the three influential personalities is reported to be an employee of Arab Sheikhs. The board of revenue department cancelled the allotment and launched an investigation against the responsible settlement officials, the official handout mentioned.
Questions have been raised over the method of allotment and performance of settlement staff.
