Federal Minister, Asad Umer on Thursday said next week is extremely crucial with regard to the novel coronavirus in the country. Eid ul Azha approachig fast and SOPs must be adopted to contain the virus, he said. The Federal Minister also appreciated the efforts of the Balochistan government for effectively battling and containing the novel coronavirus. Mr. Asad Umer chaired the special session of NCOC in Quetta on Thursday. CM Balochistan, Jam Kamal being the host of the session attended the special meeting of the NCOC.
Provincial Chief Secretaries participated through video link.
CM Balochistan appreciated NCOC for holding provincial sessions for better coordination and understanding of important issues. CM Balochistan said that NCOC has played a vital role in interprovincial coordination, resource building and channelizing critical health care equipment and health care capacity building. I
Mr. Asad Umer reiterated that all stakeholders must endeavor to sensitize the masses regarding the compliance of the SOPs/ Zabta-e-Ikhlaq for the cattle markets, Eid-ul- Azha and Muharram. Mr Asad Umer said the Next two weeks are very important. In case of non-compliance of SOPs serious repercussions may have to be faced in the coming months.
The efforts to create national/religious harmony to fight the pandemic have paid rich dividends. The current impetus gained must, therefore, be maintained to mitigate the multiple challenges.
