Four injured of the gas cylinder blast in Balochistan’s Pishin district succumbed to burn injuries in a hospital in Karachi on Wednesday. At least six people of a family were injured when a gas cylinder exploded in a hotel in the Killi Saimzai area of district Pishin a few days back.
The injured were brought to Quetta for medical treatment. However, the relatives of the victims shifted them to Karachi because of their deteriorating health condition. “Four of my family members succumbed to burn injuries in Karachi’s civil hospital”, Zubair Khan, one of the relatives of the victims told the daily Quetta Voice via telephone.
Two injured are still battling for life at a hospital in Karachi, he said, adding that their condition was also serious. The family had demanded of the Balochistan government to provide its plane to shift the injured to Karachi. However, they failed to get the official plane despite repeated requests and attempts.
“We made desperate appeal but none from government-supported us”, Mr. Khan lamented. There was no immediate response from the government to comment on the issue despite repeated attempts.
All the victims belong to one family and they had established a small hotel in the middle of the village Killi Saimzai.
