COVID19: death toll in US rises to 300,000 as vaccination begins

Global coronavirus cases have exceeded 800,000 on Sunday since the outbreak of the pandemic across the world. According to a tally by news agencies, most of the deaths have been reported from US, Brazil and India globally. However, China, Italy, Germany have also been hit hard by the deadly virus.

News agency Reuters data reveals that 5,900 people were dying of the deadly virus on daily basis as per the news agency’s two weeks calculations. That equates to 246 people per hour, or one person every 15 seconds.

WHO: 

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has said children aged 12 and over should wear masks to help tackle the Covid-19 pandemic under the same conditions as adults, while children between six and 11 should wear them on a risk-based approach.

The world has topped 23 million cases of the coronavirus, with the US confirming 44,000 cases on Saturday within 24 hours.
