Committee formed to prepare SOPs for schools, colleges, universities in Balochistan

The Balochistan government has formed a committee to prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) for primary, middle, high schools, colleges and universities to contain the novel corona virus. Educational institutions across the country are likely to open from September 15th as hinted by the Prime Minister Imran Khan during a meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Friday.

The committee comprising secretary health, education, information technology to prepare SOPs and recommendations for the educational institutions in the province. The committee has been given four days’ task to submit its report about the SOPs and recommendations to the chief minister.

In the committee, the representatives of private schools and Madrassahs (seminaries) would also be included to make a comprehensive report.

The meeting decided to protect children and teachers from the deadly virus while adopting social distancing and SOPs in this regard. The committee would also consult senior doctors with regard to the SOPs and recommendations about the novel corona virus in the province.

Home Minister Balochistan, Ziaullah Langove, Chief Secretary Captain (R) Fazeel Asghar, Inspector General Police Mohsin Hassan Butt and other high-level officials attended the meeting.
