Educational institutions to be opened from September 15th after consultation: PM
Web Desk:
Prime Minister, Imran Khan on Friday said that educational institutions across the country would be opened from September 15th after consultation with all stakeholders. The Premier stated this while chairing a meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC).
The federal government has already announced to hold a consultative meeting with all provincial education ministers regarding the opening of the educational institutions in the country. The NCC meeting also discussed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the training of teachers after the opening of the schools in the country. Pakistan had closed its educational institutions in March this year in the aftermath of the outbreak of pandemic around the globe.
The PM directed the concerned quarters to strictly follow SOPs and social-distancing to tackle the virus.
Imran Khan said the danger of corona-virus still exists in the country and the nation needs to be vigilant and careful with the deadly virus. The number of cases reduced as a result of lockdown imposed by the government to contain the virus.

Regarding Muharram, it was decided to ensure sanitizer and scanners at all routes to contain the virus. The mourners would be asked to wear masks. The mourners should be sensitized about the COVID19 and asked to follow the SOPs and social distancing during the Aushora procession, the meeting suggested.
Speaking on the occasion, the Premier stated that all law enforcement agencies, departments and concerned people should get the corona-virus SOPs implemented. Through a strategy, we have been able to contain the virus and that is why the number of cases in the country is low as compared to other parts of the globe, Imran Khan pointed out.
