A Child tests positive for dengue virus in Balochistan

A nine-year-old child tested positive for the dengue virus in Balochistan’s Dukki district on Wednesday morning. The parents had brought the child to the Fatima Jinnah Chest and General Hospital three days back. The child was suffering from severe fever, the in-charge of the emergency ward said.
Samples of the child sent to the laboratory three days back. The laboratory report has confirmed the child contracting the dengue virus. The dengue virus spreads through a mosquito bite. According to the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention, dengue is common in around 100 countries of the globe.
The child belongs to the Dukki district of Balochistan, he informed. This is the first case of the dengue virus after coronavirus, congo, and poliovirus.
Another suspected dengue patient admitted to the emergency ward
The in-charge emergency ward informed that another patient from Balochistan’s Pishin district also admitted to the ward for medical treatment. The patient is suffering from a severe fever. “His test report would come this evening”, he said. The patients have been admitted to the isolation ward of the hospital to make sure the provision of required treatment.

A resident of college muhalla Zhob contracted the deadly Congo virus. The laboratory result confirms the patient identified as Abdul Rahim has tested positive for the congo virus. The patient has been taken to a private hospital in Karachi in a serious condition. Initially, the patients brought to Quetta’s Fatima Jinnah Chest and General Hospital for medical treatment.
The virus continues to affect shepherds and the people involved in the routine animal business in Balochistan’s Loralai, Killa Saifullah districts. The virus has claimed precious human lives during the last few years.
