Blast kills 8, injured 110 inside a Madressah in Peshawar Dir Colony

A powerful blast has killed 8 people and injured another 110 inside a Madressah Jamia Zuberia in Peshawar Dir Colony. Muhammad Asim, the Spokesman of the Lady Reading Hospital said four dead bodies brought to the hospital. They all are seminary students and their ages from 20 to 25, he said.
“The bomb went off during the holy Quran class”, police quoted by the local press.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Mansoor Aman confirmed the explosion and said that initial reports suggest an improvised explosive device (IED) used in the explosion. “Five kgs of explosives used in the blast.” Police and other law enforcers cordoned off the area to collect the evidence after the blast, Mr. Aman said.
The LRH spokesman thus mentioned that 7 dead bodies and 110 injured brought to the hospital for medical treatment. Emergency imposed in the hospital to treat the injured of the blast.
Prime Minister Imran Khan strongly condemned the terror attack and said the perpetrators would not be spared. He said the enemy carried out the deadly attack to inflict harm to the stability of the country. “We would continue to battle terrorism”, Mr. Khan said .
The federal minister for information and broadcasting senator Shibli Faraz has strongly condemned the incident and vowed to bring the perpetrators to book. “Our forces will defeat the enemies of the country”, he said.
The National Counter-Terrorism Authority (NACTA) had issued a threat-alert a few days back in Quetta and Peshawar. NACTA warned of possible terror attacks by outlawed militant groups in the two provincial capitals.
