Qadir Baloch to announce resignation from PML N tomorrow

Lt. General (R) Qadir Baloch would announce formal resignation from the Pakistan Muslim League (N) in a formal press conference tomorrow (Saturday). Mr. Baloch will address an important news conference in Quetta with regard to his resignation from the former ruling party.

Differences between Lt. General (R) Qadir Baloch and the central command of the PML N developed following the party’s narrative in Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) public meetings. “Mr. Baloch will elaborate over the reasons for quitting the party”, sources closed to him told Quetta Voice.

Ali Madad Jattak, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Balochistan President said he has extended an invitation to  General (R) Qadir Baloch and Nawab Sanaullah Zehri to join his party. “Hopefully, they will join”, he said.

Mr. Jattak visited the residence of the former federal minister and PML N Balochistan president the other day. The meeting between the two went viral on social media initiating a new debate about the political atmosphere in the country.

Other important politicians to join PPP: Jattak 

“Other important personalities will also join PPP”, Mr. Jattak told Quetta Voice. He said some former ministers and lawmakers were in contact with the party for joining. “I cannot disclose their names at this point in time”, the PPP Balochistan president said.

Lt. General (R) Qadir Baloch will chair a meeting of his well-wishers and party office-bearers in the morning for consultation, sources close to him said. After a thorough consultation with colleagues and friends, he would make an important announcement, they mentioned. Mr. Baloch remained the federal minister for SAFRON during the former premier Nawaz Sharif government. He also served as the Governor and Corps Commander of Balochistan in the past.
