NAB files reference against Nawab Raisani, others

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan filed a reference against the former chief minister, Nawab Muhammad Aslam Khan Raisani, Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani, former secretary finance Dostain Khan Jamaldini and others in a corruption case. In a statement issued to the press on Wednesday, the Spokesman NAB said the accused had caused Rs. 817m financial loss to the national exchequer in the past.
NAB has filed a reference against 8 people for inflicting financial damages to the national exchequer, he mentioned. Chairman NAB Justice (R) Javed Iqbal approved the filing of the reference against the former chief minister and others.
NAB Spokesman said the former chief minister had illegally exercised his authority and paid huge compensation to his family members.
Accountability Court Convicts 3 Accused
The Accountability Court in Quetta convicted 3 accused to a total of 30 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 155m in a fraud case. . The accused had fraudulently taken away Rs. 155m from people under the pretext of purchasing shares in the stock exchange.
Munawar Shahwani, the Judge of the Accountability Court announced the judgment on Wednesday. Zameer Chalgari, the prosecutor represented the NAB in the court.
According to details, the accused Amir Hussain, Babar Tehsin, Javed Akram had established a firm identified as Brother International to deceive the people. The NAB investigation team after the thorough investigation got solid evidence and filed a reference against the accused earlier.
The accused were not appearing before the court and finally, NAB teams arrested them from various parts of the country in the fraud case. The accused sent to district Jail Quetta after the announcement of the judgment by the accountability court. NAB had taken notice of the mega fraud case on public complaints in Balochistan.
