2 Professors Recovered, One still missing in Mastung Balochistan

QUETTA: Chairman Brahvi Department University of Balochistan, Dr. Liaqat Sani Bangulzai and two other professors went missing on Saturday from Mastung town of Balochistan province.
According to details, Liaqat Sani along-with two other professors were going to visit examination centers at Khuzdar, when picked up by unknown armed men from Mastung.
Later two professors including Prof Shahbir Shawani and Prof Nizam Shahwani released by the suspected kidnappers and their vehicle found near the Pirangabad area of Mastung.
Liaqat Shahwani, spokesman for the Government of Balochistan in his tweet said that two of the missing professors have been recovered. However, Liaquat Sani is still missing and efforts for his safe and sound recovery are underway, Shahwani stated.
While expressing extreme concern over the abduction of professors, Prof Dr Kaleemullah Bareech, President Academic Staff Association UoB, told the author “our three professors who were traveling to Khuzdar for inspecting undergoing BA/BSc examination centers were abducted by unknown men earlier today”.
Two of them released and one is still missing, Mr. Kaleemullah said.
