CTD arrests 3 suspected terrorists in Khuzdar Balochistan

QUETTA: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested 3 suspected terrorists in Khuzdar Balochistan on Friday. CTD Kalat range and the Frontier Corps (FC) conducted a joint operation and foiled a major terror bid by arresting the terrorists, security sources said.
During the operation, the security forces arrested 3 suspected terrorists and recovered a huge catch of arms and ammunition from their possession. The terrorists belonged to a banned militant outfit operating in the area.
The accused had taken refuge in a village near Wadh tehsil of district Khuzdar. Security forces recovered a remote-control, improvised explosive device, and other weapons during the raid. The terrorists were planning to carry out subversive activities when arrested by the forces, the sources said. They mentioned that the accused were planning terrorist attacks in Kalat, Khuzdar, and Lasbella.
“Senior officials are interrogating the arrested terrorists”, sources stated.
