Mask designing: BUITEMS got 3rd position in Pakistan

The Balochistan University of Information Technology and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) got 3rd position in a face-mask designing competition across Pakistan. The European Union (EU) Pakistan had invited students of designing departments studying in universities to submit their ideas, Syed Kamran Sami, the Dean of Fashion Textile Design Faculty told Quetta Voice. “Our university also submitted ideas”, he said.

BUITEMS student Muhammad Usman who had designed the face-mask got the third position in the competition. Like Usman, other students had also presented their ideas in terms of designing face-masks.

COVID19 has claimed precious human lives across the globe

The competition was aimed at better designing the face-mask to battle the COVID19.  The virus has claimed precious human lives across the globe. Students of the Fashion Textile Design BUITEMS had also submitted their ideas during the competition held in August this year.

Almost 75 designing institutes across the country had participated in the competition. Two designs of the BUITEMS shortlisted for the competition, Syed Kamran Sami mentioned. BUITEMS recently declared one of the top 600 universities of Asia. The university established in 2002 has made positive strides towards the promotion of education in Balochistan. Over 11,000 male and female students have been studying in BUITEMS.
