The Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) has demanded of the Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) to ensure the provision of fair representation in the federal cabinet and Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa cabinet. The BAP made this demand at a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan on Saturday. The key coalition partner of the ruling PTI has made this demand prior to the fast-approaching senate elections. The party has considerable representation in the Senate and National Assembly and heads the Balochistan government.

BAP meeting discussed forthcoming senate elections, by-polls in Pishin

The meeting thoroughly discussed forthcoming senate elections, by-polls in the Pishin district, and other issues relating to the party. Provincial ministers, senators, and lawmakers participated in the meeting.

The meeting noted that currently, the BAP had one federal minister in the federal cabinet. This cannot help the party and government to address issues relating to Balochistan, the meeting mentioned. The key coalition partner of PTI expressed serious concern that it has been ignored in the federal cabinet and KP cabinet.
