Sorab: 16 including 2 FC personnel injured in a hand grenade attack

At least 16 people including 2 Frontier Corps (FC) personnel injured in a hand grenade attack in Balochistan’s Sorab area on Tuesday evening. A security official told Quetta Voice unknown miscreants lobbed a hand grenade at the vehicle of FC in the Sorab area of Balochistan.
The blast left 14 civilians and 2 FC personnel injured. The officials requested anonymity. He said the miscreants were riding on a motorcycle and managed to escape from the spot after the attack. Police, Levies, and FC personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. Common people standing on the road side suffered injuries, Levies sources also confirmed.
“Most of the injures suffered minor injuries”, the official said
All injured shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. “Most of them suffered minor injuries”, the security official said. He said so far no arrest made in connection with the attack at the FC vehicle. The attack also smashed the glasses of the vehicle of the FC.
In the meantime, home minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove has strongly condemned the attack and vowed that the government would bring the perpetrators of the terrorist attack to book. Mr. Langove said some elements at the behest of their foreign masters were involved in terrorist attacks in Balochistan. The Minister had earlier revealed that India was spending more than 500 million dollars to finance terror activities in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan.
Liaquat Shahwani condemns the terrorist act
The spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani has also condemned the incident. In a statement issued to the press after the terror attack, Mr. Shahwani termed it a coward attempt on the part of terrorists. “The perpetrators would be brought to book”, he warned.
