CTD recovers 10 hand grenades from a passenger van in Khuzdar

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) recovered 10 hand grenades from a passenger van in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district on Wednesday night. Security sources said the CTD also arrested 2 accused in connection with the hand grenades

Major terror bid has been foiled, sources said. The miscreants had planted hand grenades in a tire. Acting of a tip-off, the CTD personnel timely recovered the hand grenades and foiled a major bid of terrorism in the province.

The passenger van was going from Quetta to Khuzdar 

The passenger van was going from Quetta to Khuzdar when intercepted by the CTD. The CTD registered a case and started an investigation into the recovery of the hand grenades.

Security forces have intensified operations against terrorists in various parts of Balochistan recently.

Khuzdar was one of the sensitive districts of Balochistan. Bomb explosions and targeted killings were almost the order of the day a few years back. Peace has returned to the troubled district in the aftermath of intelligence-based operations in the area.
