Balochistan tube wells: PM approves solarization project

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister, Imran Khan on Monday approved a mega project for solarizing tube wells to ensure uninterrupted power supply to growers community to promote the agriculture sector.
Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan, provincial ministers, and other high ups called on the Prime Minister. The CM apprised the premier about the issue of prolonged and unannounced load-shedding in the province. The federal minister for water and power, Omar Ayub Khan was also present on the occasion.
The solarization of the project would not only ensure the provision of uninterrupted power supply to growers but would also address the issue of financial losses. Moreover, he also called for defining the timelines for the execution of the plan.
In Balochistan, the government has been paying subsidies worth billions of rupees to the growers’ community. Despite this all, agriculture has not been improved.
