16 injured in a blast in Sibi Balochistan

At least 16 people injured in a blast in Balochistan’s Sibi city on Friday. Wazir Khan Marri, a police officer said unknown miscreants lobbed a hand grenade at Luni Chowk Sibi. Marri said the miscreants lobbed the hand grenade whenever the participants of the Kashmir solidarity rally passed from the Chowk.

The attack left 16 injured, Wazir Khan Marri said. Children also among the injured. 11 injured rushed to civil hospital Sibi for medical treatment. However, 5 injured people of the blast rushed to the combined military hospital for treatment. The condition of four injured is serious, doctors said.

Police reached the spot after the attack 

Police and frontier corps personnel reached the spot as investigation into the incident went underway. Shopkeepers pulled down their shutters in the aftermath of the blast that rocked the city.

Security tightened after the blast and police patrolling increased in the city.

Minister condemns the attack 

Home Minister Balochistan, Ziaullah Langove strongly condemned the terrorist attack. He said the perpetrators of the terrorist attack would be brought to justice. He also directed the Sibi administration to provide better health facilities to injured of the blast.
