JUI (F) candidate’s position appears to be strong
The position of Azizullah Agha, a JUI (F) candidate backed by the anti-government alliance appears to be strong. However, the ruling BAP candidate Asmatullah Tareen has also conducted an effective campaign to reach out to voters in the constituency.
The seat fell vacant in 2020 after the death of Syed Muhammad Fazal Agha, a JUI (F) legislator. The election commission of Pakistan had announced by-polls on February 16.
