Azizullah Agha of JUI F won PB20 Pishin by-polls

PISHIN: Azizullah Agha, the candidate of Jamiat ul Ulema e Islam (F) elected as a member of the provincial assembly from Pishin PB20 during by-polls. According to unofficial results, Azizullah Agha got over 24,965 votes during the elections.
The ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) candidate Asmatullah Tareen got 7,123 votes in the elections as per unofficial results.
By-polls held at PB 20 after the demise of Syed Fazal Agha
The polling held on PB 20 after the death of JUI F legislator and former governor Syed Muhammad Fazal Agha in 2020. He died of the COVID19.
Voters cast their votes at all 113 polling stations established in the constituency amid tight security. The number of registered voters in the constituency was 99,265.
Component parties of PDM had backed Azizullah AghaÂ
Component parties of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) including Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP), Awami National Party (ANP), Pakistan Muslim League (N), and others had backed the JUI F candidate.
However, the ruling Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) and Jamiat ul Ulema e Islam (I) had backed Asmatullah Tareen.
