Balochistan to receive 9 lakh corona vaccines by June 2021

Balochistan will receive 9 lakh corona vaccines by June 2021 from the federal government. This information shared during a meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan on Wednesday. The vaccines would also be dispatched to remote areas of Balochistan to ensure proper vaccination.
The Balochistan health department has already launched the registration of people above 65 years regarding the corona vaccine program. Parliamentary secretary on information, Bushra Rind, principal secretary to CM, Zahid Saleem, secretary sports, Mir Imran Gichki, and other high ups also participated in the meeting.
The meeting thoroughly briefed about steps to tackle COVID19
The meeting thoroughly briefed about collecting data about COVID19, forecasting methodology, vaccination management, and other issues.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Balochistan directed the concerned quarters to step up efforts for the provision of COVID19 vaccines to people. He however said first priority is health professionals and then aged people.
The health officials informed that so far 1033 health professionals provided COVID19 vaccines. The department has received further 16,000 doses of corona from the federal government.
Vaccination is important: Jam Kamal
“Vaccination is important to cope with the virus”, Jam Kamal mentioned. He termed creating awareness among the people crucial regarding the COVID19 vaccination.
Officials informed that so far 98 percent of patients have recovered from the COVID19 in Balochistan. The strategy of the government of Balochistan and the federal government has worked, the meeting observed.
