First beach container library in Pakistan

GWADAR: The first beach container library established in Pakistan’s port city of Gwadar. Book-lovers study books with the sounds of water nearby as waves meet the shore.
The Rotaract Club and Baamsar, the two local non-governmental organizations established the library to provide a better academic atmosphere to students. “Book-lovers and students come in the evening to container library”, Munir Noor, a student said.

Beach library furnished with book-shelves, racks, and chairs offering a beautiful view of the Arabian sea. It also gives an attractive and natural view of the blue sky through its windows.
“This is a good opportunity for us to study in such an atmosphere”, Abdullah Baloch, a student told Quetta Voice via telephone. He said dozens of book-lovers, college and university students come on a daily basis to study in the beach library.
Rotary International donated books
The Rotary International has donated books for the first beach container library of Pakistan. However, the district administration Gwadar allocated the space for placement of the container at the beach.
“Literary people, authors, writers are coming to the library”, Mr. Baloch mentioned. This is also a better place for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and information, he added.
The number of book-lovers continues to grow
With every passing day, the number of book-lovers continues to increase. The space for students decreased and now efforts are underway to establish shades to provide space to book-lovers.
The Gwadar beach container library is the first library established on one of the beaches of Pakistan. The library at the Arabian sea attracts students and book-lovers.
In Balochistan, the number of libraries has increased recently. The provincial government has also decided to establish libraries in all district headquarter of the province.
