QUETTA: Iranian authorities handed over 80 illegal immigrants to authorities at Pak-Iran border Taftan on Wednesday. Iranian authorities had intercepted the illegal immigrants in various cities.
The illegal immigrants handed over to Levies force at Taftan, a security official said. The illegal immigrants were trying to reach European countries via Iran and Turkey when arrested by Iranian forces, he informed.
50 illegal immigrants belong to Punjab 27 Sindh
50 illegal immigrants belong to Punjab, 2 Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa, 27 Sindh, and 1 Balochistan. Health officials also conducted their screening at the border. Later on, the Levies handed over the illegal immigrants to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Pakistan shares a 900km border with Iran
Pakistan shares over 900km long border with neighboring Iran in the South and West. Pakistan is also fencing off the border with Iran to stop illegal movement and smuggling.
Most of the work on over 900km long border has been completed, a security official said. He declined to be named. Pakistan has also tightened security at the border with Iran recently.
The two countries have also established a joint border commission that reviews matters relating to the border after every quarter.
