CM Balochistan takes notice of corruption in BMC and MSD

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan on Sunday took notice of reports about rampant corruption in the Bolan Medical Complex Hospital and Medical Store Depot (MSD).
Jam Kamal has directed the CM Inspection Team to conduct an inquiry and submit the report in this regard. “Zero tolerance about corruption”, a late-night official handout quoted the CM.
BMC is the province’s largest government-run hospital
BMC is the province’s largest government-run hospital. Most of the population of Balochistan is dependant on the BMC in terms of medical treatment. Thousands of patients from far-flung areas of Balochistan visit the hospital on a daily basis.
However, the purchase of medicines is the mandate of MSD. The MSD purchases medicines for all government-run hospitals, basic health units, rural health centers across Balochistan.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had earlier filed references against the officers of the MSD and arrested them on corruption charges. Jam Kamal has directed the concerned quarters to improve health services for the masses in all government-run hospitals.
CM takes notice of non-completion of ACRs
Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has also taken serious notice of non-completion of Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) by provincial secretaries. He has directed all secretaries to make sure timely completion of ACRs of officers.
The personal evaluation reports of the secretaries would be marked negative if they failed to ensure timely completion of ACRs.
