Balochistan government imposes ban on rallies gatherings in Quetta

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has imposed a ban on gatherings including rallies, processions for a period of 15 days in district Quetta. The home department government of Balochistan issued a notification in this regard on Sunday evening.

“Section 144 imposed in Quetta for 15 days”, a notification issued from the office of Arshad Majeed Secretary home Balochistan said. The notification mentioned that the ban imposed in view of increasing cases of the novel coronavirus in the city. The ban would be effective from March 28.

Government employees to stage protest demo tomorrow (Monday) 

The government has imposed a ban on public gatherings, rallies, and processions in view of the grand alliance’s protest tomorrow (Monday), sources in the home department said. Teachers and lecturers and other government employees have announced to stage a protest demonstration outside the chief minister’s secretariat.

The government employees have been demanding an increase in salaries.
