Growers postpone protest after assurance by CS Balochistan

QUETTA: Growers have postponed their protest after assurance by the Chief Secretary Balochistan for solution of load shedding issue.
A delegation of Growers Action Committee  (GAC) called on CS Balochistan, Mathar Niaz Rana on Friday.
GAC central leaders Abdul Rehman Bazai, Malik Naseer Ahmed Shahwani and others attended the meeting.
This announcement on the part of growers has come a day after the GAC blocked all national highways in Balochistan in protest over load shedding issue.

Balochistan government conveyed concern of growers to Islamabad

“Balochistan government has already conveyed your concern to the Federal Government”, Mr. Rana told the growers. He said the government committed to address the issue of unannounced and prolonged hours of load shedding in Balochistan.
“Low voltage and no power supply has destroyed our standing crops“, Malik Abdul Rehman Bazai informed the top civilian officers of Balochistan.
Mr. Rana however said the growers were playing an important role in the development and prosperity of the province and country.
