Quetta: Police officer saves life of 7-year-old girl by donating blood

A timely donation of blood by a police officer to a 7-year-old girl saved her life in Quetta’s Sariab Road area. Seven-year-old girl Kashmala was severely injured when an accused brutally murdered her three brothers on March 16, 2021, in Quetta.
Kashmala mircally survived and sustained serious injuries in the attack. The Station House Officer (SHO), Abdul Hayee Bangulzai rushed towards the spot and shifted the injured kid to civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment.
“This is the happiest day in my life”, the Police officer stated
“This is the happiest day in my life after seeing this child alive and healthy”, Mr. Bangulzai told Quetta Voice. Police had also arrested the main culprit involved in the murder of 3 children.
Doctors asked for immediate provision of blood donation to the injured Kashmala. “There was none to provide blood”, Mr. Bangulzai stated. “I decided to provide blood that saves her life”, he narrated as his voice cracks after recalling the tragic incident.
The minor girl met with all police officers after the recovery
After the recovery, the girl met with all police officers. Parents of the injured girl also thanked all police officers who played an important role in the recovery of their daughter and arresting the culprit.
It may be mentioned here that Kashmala had also recognized the main accused Muhammad Iqbal for brutally murdering her three brothers. Police had conducted a recognition parade of suspected accused. However, Kashmala had recognized the main accused during the recognition parade.
The accused was the driver of the family
The accused Iqbal was also the driver of the family. The broken family has not nominated anyone so far, the DIG Police, Azhar Akram said. He however reiterated that the accused confessed to committing the crime.
When asked about the reason behind the reason for the minor’s brutal murder, Mr. Azhar said, “It was a domestic issue and I cannot disclose this at this point in time”. He mentioned that the accused had also prepared to kill the parents of the children but they were at home.
