LHC grants bail to Shehbaz Sharif in money laundering case

Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday granted bail to the former Punjab Chief Minister, Shehbaz Sharif in a money laundering case. The court ordered the release of Shahbaz Sharif.
The prosecutor of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) argued for two hours before the court for rejecting the application of Shehbaz Sharif. He said the former CM Punjab and his family members received money from abroad in their accounts.
The counsel for Shehbaz Sharif, Azam Nazeer Tarar however said NAB had no solid evidence. He said there was no justification to reject the bail application of the former CM Punjab.
On September 28, 2020: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested former chief minister of Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore. A division bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) rejected the interim bail of the former chief minister, Shehbaz Sharif in a money laundering case.
NAB arrested the PML (N) leader in the money laundering case in Lahore. Shehbaz Sharif appeared before the LHC division bench, which rejected his interim bail in the money laundering case.
During the arrest, leaders of the PML (N) including Ahsan Iqbal, Maryam Aurangzai, and other leaders were also present inside the court.
