Services tribunal suspends posting notification of IG Prisons Balochistan

Services tribunal Balochistan has suspended the positing notification of inspector general prisons department Balochistan. The tribunal suspended the notification order on the application of Malk Shuja Uddin Kasi, an officer of the prisons department in grade-20.

The tribunal comprising chairman Mazhar Ilyas Nagi and members Zeeshan Ahmed and Abdul Latif Kakar admitted the petition filed by Mr. Kasi for hearing. The counsel for Mr. Kasi, Rauf Atta advocate pleaded that his client was OSD for the last few years.

Tribunal also suspended the order of S&GAD

The tribunal suspended the first day-to-day charge order of the present prison’s chief by the home and tribal affairs department. The tribunal also suspended the second-order issued by the services and general administration department for extending additional charges of IG prisons to the additional secretary home.

The Balochistan government had appointed an additional secretary home as the IG prisons department in violation of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) decision in 2015. The tribunal adjourned the hearing of the petition till May 17, 2021.
