Ziarat: Sculpture of saluting Jinnah main focus of tourists

The sculpture of saluting Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founding father of the nation is the main focus of tourists these days. Sindh’s famous sculptor, Fakeero Solanki is the architect of a 20×7 size sculpture. After hectic efforts, Mr. Solanki made the sculpture of the founding father of the nation.

The sculpture is placed at the entrance of Ziarat, the country’s famous tourist destination. Most of the tourists stop and take selfies with the sculpture. “This is all about the history of Pakistan”, Muhammad Amir, a tourist from Karachi remarked.

Fakeero has also rebirthed lifesized sculptures in Pakistan.

Ziarat also houses the Quaid e Azam residency, which is also considered to be the most visited place in the valley. The founding father of the nation had spent the last days of his life in the residency located in the rugged mountains. Thousands of tourists from across the country visit the lush green valley to witness historic places and ancient juniper trees.

“So many people are coming here to witness the sculpture”, Yar Muhammad, a resident of the beautiful valley said. Ziarat also houses the world’s second-largest juniper forest. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has declared the Ziarat juniper forest as a biosphere reserve in 2013.

He said “there exist people in this world who still see patterns in natural features, who appreciate the music of the flowing waters or otherwise, who find fragrance in the floral ambiance around and seek serenity in the simpler lifestyle of nomads and rural folk,”
