Feroz Shah wins Japan’s highest civil award

The government of Japan has awarded “The Order of The Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette to Pakistan’s honorary technical adviser at the Federal Board of Investment (BoI) and the Director National Engineering Cooperation (NEC), Syed Feroz Alam Shah.

The Japanese government announced the foreign recipients of the 2021 Spring Conferment of Decorations in which Feroz Shah was recognized for his contributions to the promotion of economic relations between Pakistan and Japan.

Feroz Shah is one of the 21 foreign nationals getting Japanese award 

So far the government of Japan has awarded 21 foreign nationals with this highest civil award. Syed Feroz Alam Shah is one of them. Mr. Shah would receive the award in July this year.

Shah facilitated new entrants to the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Pakistan and helped them enter the Pakistani market. He also cooperated with the government of Pakistan and dealt with the complex application processes. He has worked hard for the changes in the SEZ Act, especially regarding the lack of incentives for the industry.

Mr. Shah has also helped the building of the ‘Pak-Japan Clutre Center in Quetta

Additionally, Shah had helped in the building of the ‘Pak-Japan Culture Centre in Quetta’ that is run by the Pak-Japan Friendship Society (PJFS).

Mr. Shah is the elder brother of Syed Nadeem Shah, Japan’s honorary consul general in Quetta. Syed Nadeem Shah has played an important role in strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Japan.
