Tinted glasses display of weapons: BHC dismays over performance of IGP, Home Secretary

The Balochistan High Court (BHC) has dismayed over the performance of inspector general police, home secretary Balochistan, deputy commissioner Quetta and other officials in taking action against tinted glasses vehicles and display of weapons.
A division bench of the BHC comprising Mr. Justice Hashim Khan Kakar and Mr. Justice Abdullah Baloch directed to issue show-cause notices to the above mentioned for their failure to take action against the the elements displaying weapons in the city.
Senior lawyer, Syed Nazeer Agha had filed a petition in this regard
Senior lawyer, Syed Nazeer Agha advocate had filed a petition in the BHC seeking action against the influential people roaming in vehicles with tinted glasses and displaying weapons in the province.
“Despite deployment of police and other law enforcement agencies, a single person has not been taken into custody”, the bench pointed out. Senior lawyer, Nazeer Agha has mentioned that influential people with personal guards in tinted glasses vehicles were roaming in the province.
Home secretary Balochistan had informed the court that no Rahdaris issued by the Balochistan government for possessing weapons to any one.
“We are left with no option, but to issue, show cause notices”, the bench mentioned
“In such a pathetic circumstances, we are left with no option, but to show cause notices to the IGP, Addioitnal Chief Secretary (Home) Balochistan, Deputy Commissioner Quetta and other concerned quarters.
The bench also issued notices to the Registrar BHC, secretary provincial assembly, principle secretary to the Chief Minister and other officers to appear in person in the next date of the hearing.
The case adjourned till June 10, 2021.
