China provides 20,000 scholarships: Chairman CPEC Authority

GWADAR: Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Authority (CPEC), Lieutenant General (R), Asim Saleem Bajwa said China has provided 20,000 scholarships to students of Balochistan. The Chairman arrived in the port city of Gwadar on Monday.

He however explained that the students are not going to China because of the outbreak of the COVID19. Mr. Bajwa stated that the construction of a technical institute in Gwadar would be completed soon to impart technical education to students.

General Officer Commanding (GOC), Major General Amir Najam, Chairman Gwadar Port Authority (GPA), Naseer Kashani, and other officials received the Chairman CPEC authority.

150-bed hospital for Gwadar and nursing college

Phase One of the 36 36 million Chinese grant medical project to be completed in October, Chinese officials briefed the Chairman.

Gwadar Under the expansion project, 150-bed hospital and nursing college will also be included in the project. The GDA’s Modern Hospital project will cost a total of Rs 5,357 million each.

Projects to open new vistas of development and prosperity 

“The completion of projects would open new vistas of development and prosperity”, Asim Saleem Bajwa said. He also visited the East Express Bay Project site. Three fishing lanes are being constructed on East Express Bay at a cost of Rs 11 million, he informed.

A delegation of fishermen also called on the Chairman CPEC Authority. He assured addressing the grievances of the fishermen on a priority basis.
