Usman Kakar laid to rest in Muslim Bagh

Usman Khan Kakar, the Pashtookhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) laid to rest at his native town Muslim Bagh of district Killa Saifullah on Wednesday evening. Huge crowds from various parts of Balochistan, Karachi, Peshawar, Islamabad, and other parts of the country turned out to participate in the funeral.

The dead body of Usman Khan Kakar, the central leader of Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) brought to Quetta from Karachi on Tuesday evening in a procession. A large number of political workers from various political parties were part of the procession.

PKMAP Chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai, former Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr. Malik Baloch, Maulana Atta ur Rehman of Jamiat ul Ulema e Islam (F), Rauf Mengal, the Central leader of Balochistan National Party (Mengal) Manzoor Pashteen of PTM, Asghar Achakzai of ANP, Dr. Jehanzaib Jamaldini, Hafiz Hamdullah, Dr. Abdul Hayee Baloch and other leaders participated in the funeral. Khushal Khan, the son of Usman Khan Kakar also addressed the crowd and vowed to continue his father’s political struggle.

Achakzai demands investigation

“We demand an investigation into the incident”, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, the PKMAP Chairman demanded. He said evidence can be shared if the authorities wanted to probe into what he called the murder of Usman Kakar.

The political leaders paid rich tribute to Usman Kakar for his struggle for supremacy of parliament and constitution. They said Mr. Kakar spent his whole life upholding the banner of democracy, human rights, and constitution in the country.

“Usman was a good human being”, Maulana Atta ur Rehman remarked. The crowd also chanted slogans in support of Usman Kakar. The emotionally-charged crowd stood at their places when Khushal Khan, the son of Usman Kakar came on the stage.
