CJ BHC nominates judges for judicial commission about Usman Kakar

QUETTA: Chief Justice Balochistan High Court (BHC), Mr. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail has nominated two judges for the judicial commission to probe into the demise of Usman Khan Kakar, former senator.

Senior BHC judge, Mr. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Mr. Justice Nazeer Ahmed Langove nominated for the judicial commission, a letter of the Registrar BHC addressed to the Additonal Chief Secretary Home said on June 30th.

Balochistan government forms inquiry commission to probe into the death 

The government of Balochistan had formed inquiry commission to probe into the demise of the Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) leader Usman Khan Kakar. Late Kakar breathed his last in a private hospital in Karachi on June 21.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan had announced formation of the judicial commission to ascertain the reason leading to the demise of the former senator. The Home and Tribal Affairs Department in a letter had nominated Mr. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Mr. Justice Zaheer uddin Kakar as members of the commission.

CJ BHC expresses displeasure over government  letter

However, CJ BHC had objected over the nomination of judges by the government and expressed displeasure over the government letter. Mr. Justice Nazeer Ahmed Langove has replaced Mr. Justice Zaheer uddin Kakar as the member of the inquiry commission.
