Quetta Airport road blast: CTD registers FIR

Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Friday registered First Information Report (FIR) regarding the Quetta Airport road blast. The blast had left six security personnel injured on Friday evening.
“FIR lodged against unknown terrorists”, the Spokesman CTD stated. The FIR lodged on behalf of the concerned police station house officer (SHO) against unknown terrorists involved in the terrorist attack, he mentioned.
Case includes sections of murder, terrorism
The case filed by the SHO includes sections of murder, terrorism, etc, the CTD Spokesman added. So far no arrest made in connection with the terror attack that rocked the city’s high-security zone, a police official told Quetta Voice. He requested anonymity.
Police and security investigators also visited the spot of the blast and collected evidence.
The bomb went off in the high-security zone of the city
The blast heard far and wide in Quetta city. The bomb went off in one of the high-security zones of the city. The terrorists had used 3 to 4 kilogram of explosives and targeted the vehicle of security forces, Mir Ziaullah Langove, the Home Minister Balochistan said. Langove and other high-level officials visited the spot of the terror attack.
Security tightened
Security has been tightened in and around Quetta city in the aftermath of the blast. Besides policemen, personnel of frontier corps also deployed at all sensitive parts of the provincial capital. Police patrolling also increased and checking tightened at all entry and exit points.
