News Desk: Security forces killed five terrorists and destroyed their hideout in Balochistan’s Washuk district, recovering weapons, ammunition and explosives, Chief Minister’s Adviser on Information Shahid Rind said on Thursday.
Rind described the operation as a significant success in the fight against terrorism, alleging that the killed individuals were backed by India.
In a statement, he praised security forces and law enforcement agencies for their sacrifices and professional capabilities in maintaining peace and security across Balochistan.
He said continued clearance operations were necessary to eliminate terrorist elements from the area and prevent further security threats.
The adviser also stressed the importance of counterterrorism operations under the government’s Azm-e-Istehkam initiative, saying sustained efforts were essential to protecting national security and combating terrorism allegedly supported from abroad.
Rind said Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate externally backed terrorism remained firm. However, the statement did not provide further details about the timing of the operation or the identities of those killed.
