Saindak Project resumes production after a long shutdown

DALBANDIN: Production of the copper blister has resumed in the Saindak Copper-Cum-Gold Project after a long shutdown. The management of Saindak based Chinese firm MCC Resources Development Company Limited (MRDL) ignited the smelter after a long shut down caused by the pandemic and some technical issues in the smelter.

According to a press release issued by the MRDL on Thursday, this year MRDL scheduled to produce almost 15000 tons of copper blister. The MRDL President Zhanh Zhijan inaugurated the ignition of the Smelter in a ceremony organized at Saindak Project.

Copper price to increase this year

Addressing the ceremony Mr. Zhijan said as the copper price this year increases, the profit might also increase. He said the first non-ferrous mining company of Pakistan and the only modernized enterprise with the complete production process of Mining, Concentration and Smelting, MRDL had taken an important place in the non-ferrous industry development of Pakistan. MRDL’s Chinese and Pakistani staff scrambled for the re-production to salute the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan. The press release further added.
