Opposition political parties have announced to challenge the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. “We will approach apex court against PSDP”, Sanaullah Baloch, the Balochistan National Party (Mengal) lawmaker told reporters at Bijli road police station on Saturday.

“Yes, our protest is for PSDP since we have no land dispute with you”, Mr. Baloch mentioned while referring to remarks of ANP leader Asghar Khan Achakzai. Mr. Achakzai had earlier criticized the opposition for what he called ‘protesting for money/funds”.

Sanaullah Baloch cautioned Mr. Achakzai not to be part of what he termed a ‘game of looting’ in Balochistan. He urged the ANP leadership to take notice of their legislators’ support to Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) in the budget.

The opposition members demanded of the apex court and Balochistan High Court (BHC) to take suo moto notice of PSDP and budget. “We want our constitutional and legal rights”, Malik Sikandar Advocate, the opposition leader in Balochistan Assembly said.

Naseer Shahwani, the parliamentary leader of BNP (M) lashed out at the provincial government. “These prisons are nothing new for us”, Mr. Shahwani said. He warned that opposition members would intensify protest against the government.
