Govt to establish 9 markets at Pak-Afghan, Iran borders: CM Balochistan

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has said the present government was establishing 9 markets at Pak-Afghan and Iran borders. “This would boost trade with neighboring countries and open new vistas of development for the people of bordering areas”, he said.

CM spoke at length about the development potential of the resource-rich province at a function during the ‘ Balochistan Business Opportunity Conference’ on Tuesday.

Jam Kamal stated that the government has already given approval of setting up three markets at borders with neighboring countries. “We are also developing infrastructure in the bordering areas”, he mentioned.

Karachi to be linked with Iran through the shortest route 

He informed that the construction of the shortest route to link Karachi with Iran was also under consideration. He reiterated that there were a lot of business opportunities in Balochistan.

CM Balochistan recalled that for the first time in the history of the province, international livestock, minerals expos attract foreign investment. He informed that the government has so far constructed over 2,500-kilometer roads to improve communication.

Jam Kamal mentioned that this year 1800 kilometer roads would be constructed across the province. “This will improve communication in Balochistan”, he said.

Provincial minister, Mitha Khan Kakar and others also spoke about the development and investment in the province.
