Asim Saleem Bajwa resigns as chairman CPEC authority

Lieutenant General (R) Asim Saleem Bajwa has resigned as the Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority. Prime Minister, Imran Khan has appointed Khalid Mansoor as the Chairman of CPEC Authority, Shehbaz Gill said on Tuesday evening.

Asad Umar, the Federal Minister has welcomed the appointment of Khalid Mansoor as the PM’s adviser on CPEC Authority.

“I have completed two years as the chairman CPEC authority”, Mr. Bajwa said. “My prays are with Khalid Mansoor”, he stated.

In a statement soon after his appointment, Khalid Mansoor stated that development of the country was linked with CPEC. “I would try my level best to ensure timely completion of projects under the CPEC”, he said.
