Zehri, Qadir Baloch other leaders formally join PPP

Former Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, Lieutenant General (R) Qadir Baloch, and other leaders from Balochistan formally announced the joining of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Chairman PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arrived in Quetta today (Sunday) to welcome the new leaders from Balochistan. Zehri and Qadir Baloch made this announcement at a public meeting held in the Sariab area of Quetta. Flags-waving supporters of the party welcomed the new leaders.

“Nawaz Sharif failed to maintain mutual respect with us”, Nawab Zehri told the public meeting. He said, “Nawaz Sharif deliberately ignored the sacrifices of my forefathers”. Sanaullah Zehri lashed out at the policies of the former ruling party and termed it responsible for all ills of the country.

Former ministers, senators also join PPP

Former Balochistan ministers, Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani, Agha Irfan Karim Ahmedzai, Captain (R) Younas Changezi, former MPA Kishwar Jattak, former Senator Hussain Bakhsh Bangulzai, Nawabzada Sheharyar Khan Nowsherwani, and other influential political and tribal leaders also announced joining PPP at the public meeting.

“PPP will form next government in Balochistan”, Qadir Baloch predicted. He said the PPP enjoys the support of the masses in Balochistan and especially recent support of political leaders would further boost it. “Future is ours”, the former federal minister asserted.

Zehri and Baloch had parted ways with PML N over its narrative 

Nawab Sanaullah Zehri and Qadir Baloch had parted ways with Pakistan Muslim League (N) over former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s narrative with regard to the armed forces. They criticized the former premier for criticizing the military at the behest of what they call his ‘foreign masters’.

Nawab Zehri remained a PML N Chief Minister in Balochistan and Qadir Baloch as federal minister.
